• I would first like to express what is most important to me personally with this product. I support any company that will donate 100% of their proceeds to charity and set off a chain reaction of good will! Message in a Bottle is one of six products that Philosophy carries in their charity line.   Message in a Bottle is an ocean enriched bath gel/bubble bath with blue algea, sea kelp and spirulina. The fragrance reminds me of a fresh, ocean spa scent. Not everyone will like this scent of course, but I was surprised to find that I found the scent very relaxing and spa-like. I usually buy Philosophy's "food scents", such as philosophy cinnamon buns shampoo, conditioner, & shower gel.
  
  Message in a Bottle is also a great gift idea because of it's important cause and its unique bottle. If you know someone that likes the ocean or the rainforest or Sting or the spa, you are in luck! • I always notice this fragrance gets mixed reviews, and I think that is okay. It's a distinctive smell. Not everyone enjoys a musky but clean scent. I use this particular fragrance on a warm sunny day, because it's not fruity or flowery, so it won't attract bugs. It's a very clean scent that both men and women can use and enjoy. It's strong enough that it stays on the skin, and gives you a fresh from the shower smell all day long (think irish spring but better). I usually use this particular gel sparingly since it's very hard to find. It's well worth the splurge, because one bottle can last a long time.


• I don't think there could be a more pleasant smelling bubble bath around~ It's not a heavy scent. It's not masculine or feminine. Definitely not floral. Perfect in every way, philosophy's message in a bottle is a real winner! (I know it is sold as a shower gel, but I think it works better as a bubble bath.)

• Great product! It does not make my skin break-out AND after applying I don't need foundation! It gives your skin an air-brushed look, minimizes pores, evens skin tone, etc. Word of caution: Make sure your face is COMPLETELY dry and use a smaller amount than you think you need.

• I purchased this in hopes to smooth out the tiny pores on my nose.
  
  It works like magic! This time of year I am a self tanner. I put on my self tan first to a clean face. Wait for it to dry. Then I put on my Philosophy The Present Clear Makeup. You have wait two full minutes, then you can apply foundation if you like. I use a tinted moisturizer and follow with Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil.
  
  This stuff will fill in your pores and leave your face looking very smooth. Before I did not enjoy seeing my face up close because of those pores...you know what I am talking about, those things you see when you are in great lighting and looking into your compact! With this product you can not see them, I am amazed!!!
  
  I have had no adverse reactions to this product and I have been using it over a month now. My skin is normal to dry.
  
  I had tried a sample of this product before purchasing. When I finally ordered, I was a little saddened that Philosophy had removed the wonderful lavender-like fragrance. It has zero smell.

• After reading the positive reviews of this primer, I was excited to try it out before my upcoming wedding. I used it as directed and liked the results. My make-up lasted all day without touch-ups. My skin was in good condition, but after about 2 weeks of daily use of this product, my chin broke out with large, swollen pimples that were deep under the surface. I stopped using the product and my chin has since cleared up. Is this a scientific study? No, but it is my experience. I may consider using it when I get married, but I will be trying other primers also.

• This is pretty good. It really does smoothe out your skin and hide pores before you put on foundation. It is a little orangey though, so I really don't use it by itself. The added sunscreen is great too.


• This is, hands down, the best makeup I've ever used. I like my make up to be very light yet make me look a lot better than I do. This product erases pores, blends in all the little different colored spots and makes me look much younger than my 61 years.


• After about a week there was a noticable change in my skin, it was soft and really looked healthy. People even commented. I use it under the supernatural powder and it is light and great. I do not have perfect skin, in fact I hate my pores, but this looks great!

• I tried this at a Sephora in NYC during a vacation and was AMAZED at how a powder could make my face look so pure and flawless. As soon as I got back home, I found a local Sephora near me and picked this up. It's worth every single penny. Not only does it look amazing, but it goes on your face so soft and gentle. It's pure magic. I LOVE this foundation and besides Bare Escentuals, I wouldn't want to put anything else on my face. If you want to look like you have absolutely gorgeous, flawless, poreless skin - buy this!


• I started out using Bare Escentuals powder foundation and then switched to Philosophy's Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas spf15. This seems to give me a little more coverage than the other powder makeup brands. I have problem skin and some scarring, along with dark circles. So my main goal was to find a light powder foundation that felt good on the skin, but also gave me the coverage that I needed. This foundation comes packaged with a sponge as the applicator, which is why I think it gives better coverage. The powder itself feels really silky. The shades blend well onto the face. The staying power of this foundation is wonderful. I can put it on early in the morning and it is still where I put it in the evening with minimal touch-ups. And lets face it, all women do touch-ups whether they need it or not. The face takes on an airbrushed look. This, too, is another one of must haves. I haven't found anything else that measures up to this product and believe me...my makeup area looks like the makeup section at the local beauty store.


• I am a girl who grew up without make up and without anyone to teach me about facial hygiene - so as a result I've got acne scars and redness that I need to cover up with make up. It took me a while before I discovered mineral make up and I took a chance, having tried everything else, and went for it.

  I used Bare Escentuals for a while and before that Urban Decay - both worked marvelous. I tried this because I wanted something separate from B.E. and hadn't bought anymore U.D. and I heard glowing reviews about Philosophy's mineral make up.
  
  Whatever worked for them did not work for me. It made me looked caked and pasty and didn't exactly match my tone like the other two brands did beautifully. On top of that, it actually made me break out worse than any make up did before.
  
  So, try it out, you might love it. I sure as hell didn't.
