Customer Reviews

  • I just got this yesterday (I know I shouldn't review so soon) but I am having trouble putting it on. It doesn't really go on smoothly. It kinda just dries quickly. I use Kiehl's Blue Herbal moisturizer in the morning and even with that underneath, it wasn't going on smooth. I had a powder mineral foundation on in the store yesterday and I asked the girl to wipe off a lot of it so we could get the best shade. But I guess it wasn't all off so the Nude looked all right. But this morning with my bare skin, the Nude looked kinda too dark for me. I want to go back to the store with a clean face and try the lighter shade and see if that's better. But yes, my overall problem is the non-blendability. I hear the oil version is more "creamy" but I don't want to make my face break out. I will go back today and ask. But the coverage is really good!

  • If you are in a hurry - this is a pretty good product. It's a wee bit "tacky" when applying (it definitely doesn't go on as easy as an actual moisturizer). Also - it has that "sunblock smell" to it - which kind of annoys me - but may not bother the "normal" person - ha ha.

  • My skin is crazy. Sometimes it's oily like there is no tomorrow and sometimes it's super dry. I haven't really noticed if it correlates with the seasons or not, but either way, once i found Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, my dreams came true. It offers just the perfect amount of coverage without making my skin oily. It's also spf 20, which probably isn't enough protection, but it's better than nothing. And like many of the other reviewers said, it saves you time. Moisturize and foundation in one. I normally go over certain spots with concealer, but it does wonders for my skin.

    Customer Reviews

  • I actually liked the way this product provided a good foundation base, but it was just way too drying for my skin. I returned it and may give the hydrating version a try.

  • This primer is truly amazing....just a little bit goes a long way.....applies nice and absorbs quickly, you don't even feel anything on your face...keeps my makeup fresh for hours.....you would never know I have oily skin with this product...an absolute must buy.....you will be very happy with this product...

  • I don't usually bother to review products online, but felt compelled to do so when I read the other 5 star reviews of this product. I am 41 years old, and my skin is still fairly oily. I have minimal lines and sun damage. I do, however, still have breakouts, particularly from many skin products (moisturizers, sunscreens, foundations--you name it) on the market. My skin can be very sensitive, & my "product-related" breakouts are the under-the-skin, cystic, and very painful sort. After years of searching in vain for a foundation, I found and use the Laura Mercier oil-free foundation. It has performed perfectly on my skin. I decided to buy the oil-free primer to extend the hours the foundation would look flawless, although I never really had a problem with it wearing out. I suppose I bought into the Laura Mercier marketing deal. While the LM oil-free foundation primer did not cause breakouts, I felt it made my foundation last a shorter, rather than a longer amount of time. After the first two uses, I put it away for a month, using only the LM oil-free foundation. I tried it again, and this time I was sure....it made the foundation wear off my face more quickly than without it. Therefore, I would not purchase this product again...too much money to not enough performance.
